When should I begin training my dog? 

It's important to train your dog from the first day they arrive home. This will help establish good habits and boundaries from the start and will prevent bad behaviors from becoming habits. Training also helps build an emotional bond between you and your dog.  

What are the benefits of private in-home dog training?

Training in your home allows us to diagnose issues by observing your dog in his familiar surroundings. Since every dog is unique, we can tailor your sessions based on the needs of your dog and environment as a whole.  Our training is customized to target the specialized needs of your dog. Private training might actually take fewer sessions to accomplish your goals thus making it more cost effective. 

I have an older dog with some bad habits.  Can you help?

Yes!  We have successfully trained many older dogs of all sizes with undesirable habits.  Keep in mind that some long-term behaviors in dogs can be managed, but may not completely eliminated.  We can create a training strategy to help.   

How long are the sessions?

In-person sessions are 1.5 - 2 hours in your home.  All sessions are customized to your specific needs. Training guidance is provided between sessions. 

How much time must I work with my dog between sessions?

Your dog will accelerate learning by practicing new skills in between our sessions for a few minutes each day. 

How often are the sessions scheduled? 

Sessions are typically scheduled every 2-3 weeks.  We can do as few or many sessions as you need. 

What do I need to prepare for a session? 

Prior to the first session, you will fill out a behavioral questionnaire to complete about your dog.  You will also receive a training waiver prior to the first session to review and sign. You will be given skills for you and your dog to work on after each session. 

What methods of payment do you accept?

Venmo, Apple Pay, cash or check are preferred forms of payment.

What happens if I miss a training session?

We reserve the right to charge for cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance.
